Telvent’s Inspector Extension for ArcFM Viewer allows mobile and desktop users to edit existing feature attributes and manage related objects to support workflows for inspections, joint-use attachments, cathodic protection, pole surveys, transformer audits, leak detection, damage assessments, and overall updating of attribute data. Inspector provides a low cost solution for editing feature attributes based on the ArcGIS Engine technology.
Inspector also provides for comprehensive redlining and sketching functionality within the ArcFM Solution. Users can view, query, trace, markup, and quickly update data to help optimize the investment in maintenance and construction from the facility network.
With the Inspector extension, utility users have all of the functionality of ArcFM Viewer and Redliner Extension at their disposal along with the ability to update existing attributes on features as well as create, edit, and manage related records.
Users can initiate inspection sessions using ArcFM’s Session Manager in the office or in the field, and update attribute data and add markups as part of their daily work. Sessions can be sent back to the enterprise GIS to be incorporated into the workflow for updates.
Inspector Features
- Updating Attributes:
Inspector provides for support for updating existing attribute records. Users select the features and can then update the attribute information via the dialog. - Creating Related Records:
Users can also create and update related records of features to support workflows like joint-use attachments, leak inspections, etc. - Session Manager or Workflow Manager:
Full integration with ArcFM's Session Manager or Designer’s Workflow Manager allows for graphic sessions to be moved back and forth from the desktop to the field within the ArcFM framework. Specific workflows can be configured to allow sessions to be sent to other personnel for approval or forwarding.
