Hi all,

We have been running into some issues when trying to move tie fuses and switches (ArcMap). When trying to accomplish this task, users either get the following error message:

"The feature(s) could not be moved. OnChanged message to object returned failure. Object Reference not set to an instance of an object".

or even worse: they are kicked out of the system completely.

This is our configuration:

Windows Server 2003
ArcDesktop 9.1
ArcFM 9.1
ArcSDE 9.1
Oracle 10gR2

We have been doing some research but have not been able to solve this problem yet. For now, users are not able to move these objects.

We started to work with ESRI support because we initially though it was a problem on their side. We did place a ticket, sent them a dump of our database and provided them the information about our system. After restoring the database, they removed all custom tools and anything else that is not ESRI related (including ArcFM). They were not able to reproduce the problem in their lab. As a conclusion, they told me that this seems to be an M&M related issue. We did a lot of troubleshooting with ESRI and concluded that the problem is not on their side.

We are talking about our Production system, so this is very important for us since it has a lot of impact in our business.

If you could help us with this, we could really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance,
LM
