Seems like the ArcFM 10 developer kit was "removed" when I upgraded to Visual Studio 2010. It's still listed as installed, but dll:s and documentation etc is missing. When I try to repair it I get a fatal error saying that Visual Studio 2008 must be installed!

When will you support VS2010? Do I have to reinstall VS2008 and revert all my project files to VS2008?

Hi asker, the developer kit is currently only compatible with Visual Studio 2008. Our plan is the release immediately following the initial 10 release to include VS2010. However, you do not need to revert all your projects to VS2008, the assemblies distributed with ArcFM 10 can be utilized just the same in VS2010 as they can in VS2008, the integration points (help, for example) will be the missing pieces.

On the other hand there some really good news. With the 10 release we are rolling out an online version of most if not all the information/samples/material that was found in the SDK. This is still a work in progress, but if you are interested in seeing it as it is now shoot me an email and I'll get you some more information. Also with this release, all the developer samples that were in VB6 have been ported to .NET (100 or so?). This is a big deal and something we're hoping the community at large will find very helpful.

Bill,

Were the VB6 samples converted to C# or VB.NET?

Thanks!

Jason

Hi Jason. Yes, most of them. The ones that had user interface components (very few, <10) were not converted yet however.

To further clarify, existing VB6 samples were ported to C#
