Autoupdater COMException & Fiber Manager Patch #5024

 

This patch is intended for installation on top of ArcFM 9.30 SP1 (build 4961) Please note that if a patch shares DLL files with a previously-issued patch, all files from the previous patch are included, to prevent problems caused by dependencies between these files.

Functionality Included: This patch corrects an issue with Fiber Manager where the Fiber Object Deleted autoupdater (AU) keeps a user from deleting some features in certain circumstances.

Additionally, this patch addresses an issue where raising custom COMExceptions in AU’s may crash ArcMap and also corrects an issue where custom login forms may be affected by ArcFM’s ReleaseCOMObject calls.

Recommended Users: Clients who use Fiber Manager or clients who write customization for ArcFM would benefit from this patch.

The following files are included in the patch and will replace existing files:

• Miner.Framework.dll
• mmAutoUpdate.dll

Installation instructions:

1. Download the patch installer Patch_930SP1_5024.exe to any location on your desktop machine.
2. Double-click the file to launch the installation.
3. At the installer dialog, review the readme information if desired. Then click 'Install Patch'.
4. When the installer dialog displays 'Completed', click the 'Close' button.

Patch #5024 contains the following bug fixes:

• QFE35680: Session Manager -- Remove all ReleaseCOMObject calls that effect MM23531/NIM002374.
• QFE35650: AutoUpdaters -- raising custom COMException in AU is crashing ArcMap.
• PR34558: Object Delete AU is causing a Stack Overflow and ArcMap Crash.
